Khaberni - Barcelona and Spain national team star Pedri talks about his future ambitions, after the official announcement of the "La Roja" shirt for the 2026 World Cup.
The midfielder said that there's only one thing missing from the new Spain shirt: another star! The one we will add this summer."
Pedri added, "The World Cup is different from anything else. It's not like the Spanish league or the Champions League or the European Championship... Suddenly, everything in the world stops to watch the national teams compete for one goal. It's a great feeling to fight for your country."
About his movements on the field, he said, "My movements? There are things you do without realizing it during the matches. They come out of you automatically. You try them in some trainings and they work, but they remain spontaneous actions."
He added, "When you see it later on the screen, you say, 'Wow, that looked great!' But inside the field, you don’t think about it, because everything happens there very fast. Only when you watch it later on TV, do you realize what you did."
In a provocative statement that might ignite a war with Real Madrid and other "La Liga" clubs, Pedri said that the backbone of the Spanish national team consists of Barcelona players.
