Low Pressure System Accompanied by Rain to Reach Eastern Mediterranean Will It Reach Jordan

Khaberni - The latest updates of the computerized maps monitor the advance of a cold air mass in the high layers of the atmosphere, accompanied by a low pressure system in various atmospheric layers towards the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, where thunderclouds are active in the Mediterranean basin, and can be observed in the coming days through satellite images available inside the Arab Weather app, but the effects of this depression will not reach Jordan, while secondary effects will reach parts of the Eastern Mediterranean mentioned at the end of the report.

Despite the presence of the low-pressure system over the sea, why do its effects not reach Jordan?

In this context, meteorological specialists at Arab Weather Center confirmed that the effects of the weather condition over the sea will not reach Jordan, due to the shape of the atmospheric systems, which leads to the withdrawal of the low-pressure system away from the region in the coming days, in addition to the presence of the semi-tropical high-pressure system near the kingdom, which acts as a barrier against the advance of the weather disturbance towards the kingdom.

Nevertheless, it is not excluded that secondary effects of this weather system could reach some areas of the eastern Mediterranean in the form of the possibility of limited thundercloud formation over the far north of Egypt and limited areas of the Palestinian coast, extending to narrow and random geographic ranges of northwest Syria and Lebanon.
