Khaberni - Iran confirmed that the ceasefire agreement between it and the United States includes Lebanon, in light of the ongoing Israeli raids described as "the most violent" on various Lebanese areas.
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that the United States and Israel have violated three basic clauses of the ceasefire agreement proposal, before the start of negotiations scheduled for next Friday in Pakistan.
Ghalibaf explained, in a post on the platform "X", that the violations included non-compliance with the first clause related to the announcement of an immediate ceasefire, covering Lebanon and other areas, in addition to the breach of the clause prohibiting violation of Iranian airspace by a drone flying over the city "Lar" in Fars province.
He also referred to the rejection of the sixth clause, which stipulates Iran's right to enrich uranium, noting that these points constituted a "feasible groundwork" according to U.S. President Donald Trump, yet their breach before the start of the process made the negotiation path "illogical".
The Iranian official stated, "There is no use in mutual ceasefire or negotiations" in light of these breaches, emphasizing a deep state of historical distrust towards Washington due to its systematic violation of commitments.
Bezshakyan: Lebanon is a fundamental condition in the ten-point plan
For his part, Iranian President Masoud Bezshakyan affirmed that the ceasefire in Lebanon was a "fundamental condition" in Tehran's ten-point plan, which forms the basis of the current truce.
Bezshakyan stressed, during a phone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, that Iran's acceptance of the truce is evidence of a "genuine will to resolve conflicts", calling on Europe to pressure Washington and Tel Aviv to respect their commitments.
In a related context, the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry considered the White House's claim that Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire as "a model of evading the agreement", while the Fars Agency reported that Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz to 99% of ships following the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
These field and political developments come after a ceasefire announcement for two weeks between Washington and Tehran, aimed at ending the military confrontation that erupted on February 28th, with negotiations set to start this coming Friday in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
The Lebanese Civil Defense announced an increase in the toll of Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Wednesday, to 254 killed and 1165 wounded.
