Khaberni - Settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli occupation police on Thursday, amid an unprecedented extension of the raid hours, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.
The governorate reported that the raid included performances of singing and Talmudic prayers inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which took place during morning hours, protected by occupational forces.
It was noted that these raids represent a serious escalation affecting the historic and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque and constitute a blatant provocation of the feelings of Muslims in Jerusalem, Palestine, and the entire world. The settlers stormed the mosque this morning with the beginning of the new extension to the morning raid period, which started at 6:30 AM instead of the usual 7:00 AM.
The governorate explained that these raids followed an announcement by what is known as the "Temple organizations" to extend the raid times by an additional half hour, now from 6:30 AM until 11:30 AM, and then from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM, totaling six and a half hours daily.
It was confirmed that this extension reflects an acceleration in imposing new realities within Al-Aqsa Mosque and solidifying a policy of temporal division, especially with its reopening after a closure that lasted 40 days.
It is worth mentioning that the settlers’ storms of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque date back to 2003, when they began daily under the protection of occupational forces, before moving in 2008 to a more organized phase with designated times initially set for only three morning hours from 7:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
Since then, these times have gradually expanded year by year, within a systematic policy to impose a new reality inside the mosque, reaching today about six and a half hours daily, in the context of solidifying temporal division and seeking to fully enforce it.
