The family revealed details about the artist's health condition, with Rami Karara explaining that his brother Ahmed underwent an artery replacement surgery in his left leg, a procedure he described as "very major and precise".
Despite the success of the surgery, Ahmed's brother confirmed that he is still in the intensive care unit to receive the necessary medical care and close monitoring of his health condition post-surgery. Artist Sherif Idris also confirmed the success of the surgery, noting that Ahmed Karara came out of it safely.
Nour Karara, the artist's sister, has appealed to the public and friends through her personal Facebook account to pray for his swift recovery, describing the surgery he underwent as a "major operation" and wishing him a quick recovery.
