Khaberni - The Senate and the House of Representatives raised their responses today, Wednesday, to the prestigious Throne Speech, which His Majesty King Abdullah II delivered on October 26th at the opening of the twentieth ordinary session of the Parliament.
Faisal Al-Fayez, President of the Senate, in the response to the Throne Speech delivered at Raghadan Palace in the presence of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, stated that the Senate draws inspiration from the values, directives, indicators, and profound contents of the Throne Speech, filled with visions for reform and development.
Al-Fayez continued: The Throne Speech is a speech of strength, confidence, reassurance, and pride in the sons and daughters of the Jordanian people who rally around the prestigious throne, reciprocating His Majesty the King's trust with trust and affection with affection, noting that the King's human concern is the peak of genuine responsibility awareness and dedication to its mandate.
Addressing His Majesty the King, he added that generations of your people have mastered and accumulated the competence, skill, and ability to overcome all crises, resulting in a tougher and stronger Arab Hashemite Jordan, whose sons are undeterred by challenges, asserting that Jordan continues to grow and progress thanks to the sincere faith of Jordanians in their God, their country, and their unity.
Al-Fayez emphasized that the Senate would continue to pursue the implementation of His Majesty the King's visions related to modernization and reform, contributing through its specialized committees to serving the national interest above all else.
He pointed out that advancing education, developing the health sector, and the transportation sector requires the concerted efforts of all official and private entities to keep pace with technological advancement and modernity to achieve sustainable development goals and a dignified life for citizens, enhanced by the continuous support and guidance of His Majesty to attract investments, create job opportunities, and support initiatives to enhance water and food security.
Al-Fayez noted that wars, conflicts, and economic crises in the region and the world have increased Jordan's resilience, thanks to the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, which always prioritizes the interests of Jordanians and has spared them from reckless adventures and missteps, keeping Jordan strong and respected, grounded in the support of the Arab army.
Speaking of Gaza, Al-Fayez noted that His Majesty the King's ongoing efforts on the international scene, from the very first moment, have significantly shaped international stance and been effective in pressuring to stop the war of extermination and starvation against the people there.
He added that Jordan will continue steadfastly and courageously in His Majesty the King's footsteps in rejecting the ongoing Israeli violations in the occupied West Bank, continuing honorably and reliably the duties of the Hashemite custodianship of the Islamic and Christian holy sites, stemming from the Kingdom's historical role towards Jerusalem, and aiming for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on a two-state solution.
On his part, Mazen Al-Qadi, President of the House of Representatives, affirmed that those who were raised on the soil of the homeland, knew that Jordan was and will always be great with its people, emphasizing the loyalty of Jordanians to their homeland and leader, and their commitment to their pledge to make Jordan their ultimate goal.
He affirmed that the directives of His Majesty the King form a roadmap towards a future that Jordanians are proud of and rise to their roles in building it.
Al-Qadi added that Jordan was never, and will never be, a follower or fearful; it is a maker of history, a guardian of dignity, and a refuge for the oppressed and those seeking asylum.
He pointed out that the House of Representatives is aware of the numerous challenges surrounding the Kingdom and the region, with Jordan being a haven of stability in the region, which obliges the council to fulfill its responsibilities in legislation, oversight, and pursuing the implementation of the paths of political, economic, and administrative modernization in order to translate the royal directives into a tangible reality for the citizen.
Al-Qadi emphasized that the achievements in the modernization system are the beginning of a project that requires serious and continuous work, drawing on His Majesty's saying "Nothing but the homeland" as the real measure and basis for every parliamentary party work, where there is no place for narrow interests and no interest above that of Jordan.
He affirmed that the House of Representatives will cooperate with the government according to the Constitution, to ensure the effective implementation of His Majesty the King's visions to support the national economy, create job opportunities, improve the living standards of citizens, and implement major projects and attract investments.
Al-Qadi highlighted that Jordan, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King, has remained the genuine Arab voice and the faithful defender of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, appreciating His Majesty's efforts in mobilizing international positions to recognize the state of Palestine and his humanitarian support for the brothers in Gaza.
He emphasized that the House of Representatives will remain a strong barrier for Jordan against anything that threatens its national security or tries to disrupt the path of modernization or weakens its national unity, praising the bravery of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army and security agencies, the epitome of sacrifice and loyalty.
Royal family members His Highness Prince Hashim bin Hussein, His Highness Prince Rashid bin Hassan, His Highness Prince Merad bin Raad, Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, along with the Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, and several senior officials attended the responses of both councils to the Throne Speech.
