Khaberni - Media reports confirmed that there is a state of terror in the corridors of Paris Saint-Germain following the horrific injury suffered by one of the team's top stars.
Reports are conflicting about the duration of Achraf Hakimi's absence from matches, following a severe injury to his left ankle during his team's match in the Champions League, after a rough tackle by player Luis Diaz, which forced him to leave the pitch crying in pain, a scene that raised concerns among fans and teammates.
Spanish newspaper Marca quoted coach Luis Enrique, who spoke after the match, confirming that what happened is part of the nature of football, which remains a contact sport, expressing his regret for his player's injury, saying that the situation is painful for him, and that they would know more precisely the extent of the injury on Wednesday after medical examinations.
French media indicated that initial reports clarified that Hakimi suffers from a twist in his left ankle, and will be absent for a period ranging between six to eight weeks, which makes his participation with Morocco in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations very doubtful.
This duration is worrying for Paris Saint-Germain, who greatly rely on his sprints and speed on the right side, especially since he is one of the key players in the offensive system, where the Parisian club might consider signing a replacement during the winter transfer period.
It added: "Hakimi's absence imposes on the team's technical staff to rearrange the defense line and perhaps alter the tactical balance on the right side, while the Moroccan national team faces a double challenge if his absence from the continental tournament is confirmed, especially since he is an indispensable element in Walid Regragui's lineup."
