Khaberni -
Karak Government Hospital registered a significant medical achievement, represented by the successful performance of a team of doctors carrying out a disc herniation surgery using minimally invasive surgery technique and with local anesthesia, which is a first of its kind at the hospital.
The procedure is considered an advanced step in precise surgery, as the modern technology used contributes to reducing the duration of the operation and the recovery period, and improving the patients' experience and the quality of health care provided to them.
Dr. Ali Al-Sarayreh, the director of Karak Government Hospital, praised this success, affirming that it embodies the efficiency of the local medical staff and their ability to keep pace with the latest global medical developments, noting that the hospital continues to develop its surgical and therapeutic services to meet the needs of the residents of Karak Governorate and the neighboring areas.
This achievement is part of the hospital's plan aimed at introducing advanced medical and surgical technologies that contribute to improving performance efficiency and the quality of services and reducing the need to refer patients to other hospitals.
The medical team that performed the operation was led by Dr. Nidal Saad Abu Sadra, with Dr. Youssef Abu Nawwas participating in the procedure, while the anesthesia was supervised by the anesthesiology specialist, Dr. Mohammed Omeira, with the support of the medical and nursing team at the hospital.
