Khaberni - The Turkish city of Erzurum witnessed a public tragic crime, after a man murdered a woman who was a victim of his past violence, then ended his life with the same weapon, just days after his release from prison.
The crime occurred in the Omar Nasuhi Bilmen neighborhood this morning, where Saleh Aybas chased Nermin Terit in the public street, shooting her several times in front of passers-by causing her immediate death, then turned the gun on himself and shot himself, committing suicide.
According to preliminary information, the victim Nermin tried to escape and take refuge inside the residential complex where she lived, but the killer caught up with her and shot her at the entrance of the site before killing himself.
Police and ambulance teams rushed to the scene immediately upon receiving the report, where it was confirmed that both the perpetrator and the victim had passed away.
Investigations revealed that the perpetrator, Saleh Aybas, had been imprisoned in 2023 on charges related to violence, threats, and attempted deliberate murder against the same woman, and he spent about two years in prison before being released on October 22nd (October), just ten days before committing the crime.
