Khaberni - Listeners of the Quran radio station in Egypt were surprised on Monday when a song by Umm Kulthum was aired, especially since the station is dedicated only to the Quran recitation and some religious programs.
The incident caused astonishment and bewilderment among social media users.
Meanwhile, the head of the radio station, Ismail Dweidar, explained to local media that the incident occurred by mistake, clarifying that it was the result of a technical error, where transmission stations interfered, causing this issue.
Dweidar added that the work inside the broadcasting studios was proceeding normally and regularly, without any technical faults from the employees.
He also confirmed that the head of the broadcast engineering department was informed immediately to address the situation, pointing out that an official memorandum was submitted to be elevated to the head of the National Media Authority.
