Khaberni - Dietary fibers are incredibly important for health; these indigestible plant fibers enhance digestive health, maintain stable blood sugar levels, help you feel full for longer, and support the gut microbiome “beneficial bacteria” essential for health, according to experts from the German Nutrition Society.
Thanks to these benefits, dietary fibers can reduce the risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
Experts from the society added that the dietary sources of fiber include fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole-grain products, noting that the amount that should be consumed daily to benefit from these health advantages is 30 grams.
This amount is equivalent to two slices of whole grain bread, an apple, a handful of nuts, 100 grams of broccoli, and 150 grams of cooked lentils.
