Khaberni - More than 600 members of the Democratic Civil Party have submitted their mass resignations, in a step described as the largest since the launch of modern party life in Jordan.
According to sources within the party, the number of resignees constitutes about half of the members of the general body, as the total number of members in the party does not exceed about 1300. With this collective withdrawal, the party has lost one of the main conditions for its legal continuity, after the number of its members dropped below one thousand, in addition to losing a number of its main branches, which is a mandatory condition for maintaining the license effective.
The list of resignees included some of the most prominent founding members of the party, including Qais Ziyadin, Amer Al-Bashir, and Yusuf Al-Jarrah, alongside field leaders and activists from various branches.
