Khaberni - Eyes turn again towards the developments of the weather situation, with expectations of the return of rainy activity to Jordan in the coming days, according to the Arab Climate Center, which predicted the emergence of a weather condition with tropical origins starting from the southwest of the Arabian Peninsula and gradually advancing towards the Levant.
According to forecasts, this condition will lead to heavy thunderstorms in several areas as the end of the month approaches, amid anticipation of its impact on Jordan and neighboring countries.
The Regional Wasm Center clarified that the weather will remain spring-like and pleasant during the day in the current days, with a tendency for coolness at night especially in mountainous areas and plains, with some clouds appearing intermittently.
The center indicated that Jordan and a number of countries in the region will be affected next week by a weather condition that will bring rain to various areas, coinciding with a noticeable drop in temperatures and the return of relatively cold weather for a limited period.
Forecasts indicate the possibility of continued rainy conditions during the next month, and perhaps intensify occasionally due to deepening tropical waves, amid climate changes that have become clearer in recent years.
Estimates pointed out that the repetition of rainy seasons and the increase in precipitation amounts have become a noticeable phenomenon, as previous years such as 2018, 2020, and 2023 experienced unusual rains even in late periods.
According to the data, the current rainy season has been classified among the strongest recently recorded seasons, ranking third after the seasons of 2020 and 1992, in an index reflecting significant climate shifts in the region.
