Riyadh and Washington on the Cusp of a Huge Deal That Could Shift the Balance in the Middle East

Khaberni - Statements by U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum about the nuclear negotiations with Saudi Arabia have generated a widespread reaction, especially since they coincide with preparations for the visit of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman to Washington.
Burgum explained in a circulating video during his participation in the Manama Dialogue 2025 in Bahrain that the discussion with Riyadh is still ongoing, expressing his expectation of "a lot of activity" up until the scheduled visit on November 18th.

He also expressed optimism about major announcements and the possibility of signing an agreement during the meeting of the Saudi Crown Prince with U.S. President Donald Trump following that round of talks.
This reaction follows the previous announcement of a joint defense agreement signed by Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, which sparked speculation about potential nuclear technology transfer from Islamabad to Riyadh.

According to what the official Saudi Press Agency reported, the agreement aims to develop defense cooperation between the two countries and enhance mutual deterrence against any aggression, stating that any attack on one of the countries is considered an attack on both.
