Khaberni - The Ministry of Education, during the first year of Jafar Hassan's government, managed to execute several educational and developmental projects including building new schools, enhancing educational facilities, and improving educational services across various provinces.
According to governmental data covering from September 2024 to September 2025, the Ministry of Education established 28 new schools across different regions and completed 42 classroom additions to expand the existing schools' capacity.
In the direction of improving the educational environment, the ministry performed maintenance on 1264 schools and conducted field surveys for 3442 schools throughout the kingdom.
In a move towards advancing education, the ministry equipped 1079 laboratories for electronic Tawjihi exams and enrolled 135,000 children in kindergartens, focusing on boosting early childhood education in the kingdom.
The ministry announced the enrollment of 30,000 students with disabilities, in addition to providing transportation alternatives for 2,176 students. It also established 3 inclusive centers for those with special needs as part of supporting their social and educational integration.
The ministry launched a series of decisions supporting teachers, including allocating lands for teachers' housing, increasing the grant for teachers' children at universities, and increasing the number of teachers in official Hajj missions.
Furthermore, 1.039 plots of land were designated for teachers’ housing at prices less than 50% of the original cost, with plans to allocate more lands in the future. A teachers' club was also established in Jerash and Madaba provinces.
On the human resources development front, the ministry graduated 3,995 teachers from the pre-service diploma program and appointed 2,332 new candidates. Furthermore, 11,213 teachers benefited from emergency financial loans totaling more than 12.6 million dinars.
Also, 2,415 sons and daughters of teachers benefited from university grants and loans, valued at approximately 3.28 million dinars. Additionally, 4.5 million dinars were allocated to support the Education Guarantee Fund.
The ministry implemented 2,013 professional awareness activities benefiting 157,716 individuals, in addition to training 66,832 personnel through various programs aimed at developing educational performance and skills.
Jordan achieved a significant accomplishment at the Arab level, winning an award for "Best Government Project" in the category of integration and diversity. Also, vocational and technical education saw significant expansion in 331 schools, with 12 new specialties added to enhance technical and professional skills among students.
In the legislative area, the ministry approved 20 new systems and regulations covering exams, cultural centers, and school sports. Additionally, foreign and international programs were accredited for 62 private schools to improve education quality and broaden students' horizons.
