Khaberni - The French fashion house Balenciaga launched a controversial jacket with a ripped and worn design, priced at 950 US dollars as part of its Autumn and Winter 2025 collection, carrying the title "Beauty in Imperfections".

Despite the harsh criticism that targeted the design when it was revealed on social media, the piece sold out completely within just 24 hours of its release on the brand's official website, according to reports by foreign websites.

The "jacket" stood out with its "destroyed" look, which includes deliberate cuts and rips, and details suggesting excessive use, making it strange and distinctive in a style that has become the hallmark of the creative director of the house.

It seems that the jacket's designer wanted through this design to redefine the concept of luxury, by transforming worn and used clothes into artistic pieces that express a contemporary identity, where luxury is no longer associated only with glamour, but with the idea that the piece itself carries.

This design caused a sharp division among social media users; while some considered it a bold artistic expression of freedom and rebellion in fashion, others saw it as a visual provocation that does not justify the exorbitant price, in a repetition of the controversy that previously accompanied the house's launch of mud-covered shoes, and bags resembling trash bags, priced at thousands of dollars.
