Khaberni - The General Command of Fujairah Police successfully dismantled a gang specialized in robbing bank customers, just a few hours after they committed their crime in the emirate, in what constitutes a new security achievement added to the distinguished record of the Ministry of Interior.
The Director-General of Police Operations, Brigadier Dr. Ali Rashid bin Awash Al Yammahi, explained that the case began on the morning of Thursday, October 23, 2025, when at exactly 10:50 AM, the operations room received a report from a bank customer that she had been cleverly robbed of AED 195,000. The thieves tricked her into believing there was a fault in her vehicle's rear tire, and when she went to check the tire, one of them took advantage of the situation by opening the door from the other side and stealing the amount before fleeing.
The Director of Criminal Investigations and Investigations, Colonel Said Obaid Saif Al Kindi, added that the investigations team immediately started working, forming a specialized team to track down the criminals and gather information. Within just 3 hours, they were able to accurately identify them. It turned out they were wanted in similar cases in one of the state's emirates. Through rapid coordination with Sharjah Police, the gang was apprehended and transferred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.
The Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police praised the high professionalism and field readiness of the investigation teams, which proved their ability to chase the criminals and unravel complex cases in record time, confirming that this accomplishment reflects the efficiency of the security devices affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, embodying its vision in enhancing security, safety, and protecting the community.
