United Supports Its Young Player Reece Bennett After His Fathers Suicide

Khaberni - Manchester United is offering care and psychological support to the young defender Reece Bennett, who is 21 years old, following his father's suicide.

Reece Bennett, the captain of the youth team that won the English FA Cup, announced the news of his father's suicide himself.
Defender Bennett, who spent last season on loan at Fleetwood Town, a second division competitor, has been granted compassionate leave by Manchester United due to his circumstances.

Bennett shared on his Instagram account four pictures with his father and his family. He captioned them with a moving message: "Dad, I never thought I’d have to write this letter so soon, as I found out last weekend that he had taken his own life... I am shattered and devastated and I don’t want to believe that this is real, but the sad reality is that it is."

He added, "Ever since I was a child, he would take me everywhere just to watch me achieve my dream of becoming a professional football player... I love you in this life and in the next one."
The website of "The Sun" newspaper quoted Bennett as saying on Monday, “Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, please speak loudly, as you don’t realize how much true love you have.”
