Khaberni - The Israeli government said on Sunday that it had identified a high-ranking Iranian official as the mastermind behind conspiracy plots to launch attacks that were thwarted in Europe and Australia.
In a joint statement, the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad) and the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the individual concerned is a high-ranking representative of Iran.
According to Israel, Tehran has intensified efforts to target Israeli and Jewish sites around the world since the attack launched by Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023.
The statement said that attempts to launch attacks in Germany, Greece, and Australia this year and last year had been thwarted with Mossad's assistance.
It was reported that the man allegedly responsible for these conspiracies is named "Sardar Ammar," described as a prominent leader in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The statement said "Under Ammar's leadership, a significant mechanism was established to promote attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets in Israel and abroad."
