Khaberni - British Energy Security Minister Ed Miliband emphasized on Sunday the need to calm the situation in the Middle East after President Donald Trump called on other countries to help protect the global oil supplies that pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
Miliband stated to BBC, "The plan now should be to de-escalate the conflict."
He added, "We cannot participate in a war with no clear objectives and our plan is to reduce escalation."
A spokesperson for the British Ministry of Defense late Saturday said, "As we have said before, we are currently discussing with our allies and partners a range of options to ensure the security of maritime navigation in the region."
