Khaberni - Israeli Army Radio stated that Tel Aviv may allow, this Sunday evening, the entry of additional heavy equipment from Egypt into the Gaza Strip, to intensify the search for the bodies of Israeli prisoners.
This came in a brief briefing by the official radio, which did not mention the number of these equipment nor more details about them, and no immediate response was issued by the Egyptian authorities.
On Saturday, "Cairo News Channel" quoted sources (unnamed) saying that "Egypt provides logistical aid and equipment to help locate the bodies of the detained Israelis due to the state of destruction witnessed in the Gaza Strip."
In the context of the search operations for the bodies of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip, earlier on Sunday, Israel allowed elements from Hamas and staff from the International Committee of the Red Cross to enter Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip to search for the missing bodies, as confirmed by the Israeli government.
Israeli media reported, quoting an Israeli official, that the Red Cross team is now working with Hamas to locate the remains of prisoners inside the zero zone controlled by the Israeli army.
Palestinian sources stated that a convoy of cars carrying elements from Hamas and employees from the Red Cross entered the city of Rafah, after the movement submitted coordinates related to a potential burial site of one of the Israeli prisoners.
According to the sources, the search operation will be conducted to recover the body of the Israeli officer Hadar Goldin, who was captured by Hamas during the war on the Gaza Strip in 2014.
