Khaberni - A woman working as a teacher's assistant in a North Carolina elementary school was arrested after she attacked her husband with a knife during an argument about house cleaning, according to local police reports.
The woman was identified as "Chandraprabha Singh", 44 years old, and was charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury, after she injured her husband, "Arvind Singh", in the neck.
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, as reported by "Hindustan Times", the incident occurred in a residential complex in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, away from the school premises, and involved no students or staff members.
According to the husband's account, Singh intentionally attacked him with a knife due to her frustration over the house not being cleaned.
The husband was taken to the hospital following the incident, where the police stated that he suffered serious injuries to his neck.
In court, the judge initially denied the wife bail, but later set it at ten thousand dollars, and she was released under conditions that included wearing an electronic monitoring device and having no contact whatsoever with her husband.
