Tenth Actuarial Study for the Jordanian Engineers Retirement Fund

Khaberni - The Engineers Association announced the completion of the procedures for commissioning the specialized entity to prepare the tenth actuarial study for the retirement and social insurance fund, which is financially struggling and considered by many engineers to be a burden on the association, especially after the reduction of retirement salaries for some retirees.

The association called for not prejudging the results or issuing premature forecasts or judgments, noting that the committee has not yet issued its final report, which will be announced after its last meeting and lifting its recommendations to the retirement fund management committee, and then to the council of the association to make appropriate decisions.

Here is the text of the statement:

Dear members of the general assembly,
Greetings,

In line with the council of the association's commitment to keeping the colleagues directly informed of the latest developments in the steering committee's work for the retirement and social insurance fund, we would like to inform you of the following:

The work teams of the steering committee completed their tasks after an intensive phase of study and analysis, and they have raised their technical, financial, and legal reports and recommendations to the steering committee, and all recommendations and outputs are currently being studied and reviewed in detail to ensure their comprehensiveness and consistency with the financial reform plan objectives of the fund.

The steering committee will soon hold its last meeting to present and discuss the final recommendations with its members, in preparation for raising them to the council of the association for adoption and taking the necessary executive decisions.

We would also like to point out that the association is in the final stages of completing the procedures for commissioning the specialized entity to prepare the tenth actuarial study for the retirement and social insurance fund, which will form a basic technical foundation for the next phase of reform and development.

The council of the association reaffirms its full commitment to transparency, professionalism, and continuous communication with the colleagues regarding all new developments in this vital file, ensuring the sustainability of the fund and fairness of rights among all members.

We urge everyone not to prejudge the results or issue forecasts or premature judgments, as the committee has not yet issued its final report, which will be announced after its last meeting and raising its recommendations to the retirement fund management committee, and then to the council of the association to make appropriate decisions.

With the utmost appreciation and respect,
Engineer Ahmed Al-Falahat
Deputy Dean of Jordanian Engineers
Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Retirement and Social Insurance Fund
