Channel 12 Israel revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the entry of an Egyptian team into the Gaza Strip to help extract the bodies.
The sources added that Israel, under American pressure, allowed the entry of the team to recover the remains, clarifying that the Israeli refusal was because Hamas had the capability with its available tools to extract the remains of the Israeli hostages.
It was also reported by a security official to i24NEWS, that the approval came within the framework of ongoing communications to return the bodies of the hostages, where the political levels in Israel approved the Egyptian request to introduce equipment and only an Egyptian team to assist in the efforts to find the bodies, confirming that the team and equipment entered Gaza.
