ElSisi The Grand Museum opening should reflect Egypts global cultural leadership

Khaberni - As attention turns to the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum on November 1st, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on Saturday, reviewed the ongoing preparations for organizing the celebration of this occasion.

This occurred during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, and a board member of the United Media Services Company and the general supervisor of the opening ceremony, Mohamed El-Saadi.

Fathy outlined the procedures and preparations being coordinated among various ministries and concerned entities, including logistical aspects, proposed parts of the events, and related organizational arrangements.

For his part, El-Sisi emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the concerned entities to ensure an opening ceremony befitting Egypt's stature, reflecting its leadership in the field of museums and global culture, and contributing to enhancing the country's tourism promotion.

He also stressed the need for the celebration to reflect "the grandeur of this global monument, the magnitude of the achievement and the development that the Egyptian state is witnessing in various fields, in a manner befitting its civilizational status before the world".

Development and beautification of the axes
The meeting addressed the status of projects to develop the area surrounding the museum, as part of the ongoing preparations for the opening. It also touched on several other files related to the work of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, where El-Sisi was updated on developments in plans to enhance the tourism sector, according to the presidential spokesperson.
