Accompanied by the Head of Vocational Education, Dr. Mu'tasim Al-Zghoul, representatives from the local community, student guardians, and school principals and directors, the Creative and Career Guidance Forum event was held this morning at the Khawlah bint Al-Azwar Mixed Secondary School, aiming to highlight the importance of vocational and technical education and the BTEC programs in preparing and qualifying students for the job market.
This event is part of the Ministry of Education's plan to enhance the culture of vocational education in schools and to link students with pathways that align with their abilities, interests, and future aspirations, contributing to building a conscious generation that possesses the life and professional skills needed to face the challenges of the age with confidence and proficiency.
In her speech, Dr. Haifa Al-Khreisha confirmed that vocational and technical education is no longer a secondary option, but has become a national pathway that contributes to the development of the educational process in Jordan, noting that the ministry pays special attention to this field to provide students with the opportunity to discover themselves and to equip them with the tools for success in their professional and future lives.
Al-Khreisha added that such meetings and field activities aim to enhance community awareness of the importance of vocational education, clarifying the pivotal role of this education in opening new horizons for graduates in fields of work and study both inside and outside Jordan, promoting the concept of learning for work and production, not just for the sake of the degree.
The event included special presentations of student projects within the BTEC program, in which they showcased their most significant achievements and practical skills acquired, with projects ranging from design to production, and entrepreneurship, reflecting the level of awareness and creativity achieved by the students thanks to this program.
Parents and community members expressed their pride in the outstanding performance of the students, affirming that the BTEC program provides a real opportunity to build a qualified generation capable of integrating into the local and global labor market with confidence and competence.
At the conclusion of the forum, Dr. Haifa Al-Khreisha expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the Vocational Education and Production Department in making the career guidance and technical events successful, affirming that such initiatives embody the vision of the Ministry of Education in establishing a culture of work and production, and contribute to building a conscious generation capable of employing their skills in serving their country and society.
