Jordanian Industrial Delegation Meets Representatives of Major Commercial Centers in Kuwait

Khaberni - The President of the Amman and Jordan Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fathi Jaghbeer, emphasized the importance of enhancing meetings between the Kuwaiti and Jordanian private sectors to bolster trade exchange between the two countries, during the visit of a Jordanian industrial delegation to Kuwait organized by the Amman Chamber of Industry, which included the Deputy President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Mohammad Walid Al-Jitan, Deputy President of the Amman Chamber of Industry Tameem Al-Qasrawi, and the General Manager of the Amman Chamber of Industry Dr. Nael Al-Husami, along with representatives of (25) Jordanian industrial companies from various sectors.

Jaghbeer praised the cooperation of all parties in the Kingdom, in facilitating the procedures for this delegation visit, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister / Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, and the Kuwaiti Embassy in the Kingdom, and the Jordanian Ambassador in Kuwait and embassy staff, who played a significant role in arranging bilateral business meetings for the Jordanian industrial delegation with their Kuwaiti business counterparts.

Jaghbeer added that during this visit, a meeting was held at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which discussed enhancing mechanisms to boost trade exchange between the countries. Although the trade between the two countries reached KD 176 million in 2024, this number is expected to increase given the excellent relationship between the two brotherly countries in various fields.
Jaghbeer clarified that the visit included direct meetings with officials and executive managements in prominent markets and commercial centers in Kuwait, where Jordanian products were introduced, and samples and catalogs were exchanged to establish direct communication channels. These meetings included meetings with Lulu Hypermarket, City Center Kuwait, Grand Hyper Kuwait, Sultan Center, and Al Futtaim Markets, and officials from these markets noted that Jordanian products are popular in the Kuwaiti market, evidenced by the presence of Jordanian products in these markets, with significant opportunities to add more Jordanian products in the future.
The delegation also visited the Federation of Kuwaiti Cooperative Societies, where they learned about the operational mechanisms within the cooperative societies that represent more than 50% of the retail market in Kuwait, and discussed the necessary procedures and requirements to introduce Jordanian products in various areas of Kuwait.

Jaghbeer confirmed that this visit comes after previous successful visits of Jordanian industrial delegations to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Algeria, and Germany, where bilateral business meetings were held with businessmen in those countries. There are plans to organize future visits of industrial delegations to many brotherly and friendly countries as part of the Amman Chamber of Industry’s strategy to enhance the presence of Jordanian industrial products in targeted markets.
From their side, industrialists participating in the delegation confirmed the importance of this visit and the positive results it achieved. Thaer Al-Ani from Matrix Company mentioned that participation was effective through direct meetings with decision-makers within the targeted categories, which facilitated the likelihood of successful future business partnerships, aligning with their various business goals.
Rami Al-Sahib from Al-Hadaf Company explained that the good arrangement by the chamber's management contributed to the success of these meetings, which brought Jordanian industrialists together with decision-makers in key commercial centers in Kuwait, a task that would have been difficult for any industrialist to arrange in such a short time without the efforts of the chamber and the Jordanian Embassy in Kuwait.
Dr. Hassan Al-Ibrahim, director of Al-Fajr Al-Sham Company, clarified that the visit reiterated Jordan and Kuwait's keenness to enhance industrial and commercial cooperation, creating practical and direct communication channels that are likely to increase the presence of the Jordanian product in the Kuwaiti market, serving the interests of both brotherly countries, and praised the chamber’s efforts in the successful arrangement of these meetings.
