Jordan  Atomic Energy Concludes a Course in Nuclear Science

Khaberni - The Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission has concluded the advanced training course in nuclear sciences for teachers for the year 2026, which was recently held, targeting a selection of teachers and educational supervisors from various provinces of the kingdom.
According to a statement issued by the Commission today, Saturday, the course, which was patronized by the commission's chairman, Dr. Khaled Toukan, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the commission, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabbagh, included a comprehensive scientific and practical program, in addition to field visits to various facilities of the commission and the Jordan Nuclear Research and Training Reactor Center. This allowed the participants to directly observe the latest technologies and practical applications in the field of nuclear sciences.
The commission explained that the course was an advanced stage and a continuation of the teacher qualification program that started during the activities of the summer camp for physics teachers and supervisors in Jordan in 2025, with the aim of deepening specialized knowledge among the participants, enhancing their practical skills, and providing them with the latest global developments in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
The commission emphasized that this program is part of its vision aimed at building the capacities of educational cadres and enabling them to transfer precise scientific knowledge to the educational field with efficiency and professionalism, alongside reinforcing national awareness of the importance of nuclear sciences and their role in supporting innovation and sustainable development, in line with national aspirations to enhance Jordan's scientific and technological position in this vital field.
