Khaberni - US President Donald Trump joked with one of the female reporters during a White House press conference, saying: "Yes, the woman with the beautiful red hair.. who are you?", and the correspondent replied laughing: "I'll tell my hairdresser, she'll be very pleased."
This incident sparked a flurry of comments on social media, with some users noting that Trump "jokes with those he likes and attacks those he dislikes," referring to his varying approach between praise and confrontation.
Users commented that the American president: "flirts with the female reporters and scolds the male reporters", while others considered that what happened reflects the nature of his personality that blends sharpness with comedy.
Earlier this week, Reuters correspondent Jeff Mason asked Trump about the transparency of the demolition of the White House's East Wing to build a new ballroom.
The president was angered and directly attacked the reporter, saying: "I wasn’t really transparent, I’ve displayed everything to anyone who wanted to see, third-class journalists didn’t see because they didn’t look… and you are one of them, you’ve always been."
Between Trump's praise for the reporter with the red hair and his scolding of the "Reuters" correspondent, followers' comments were divided between those who saw it as "his usual playful character" and those who thought "he picks whom to attack and whom to flatter based on his mood."
