Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, launched a comprehensive field campaign aimed at painting the curbs in white and red and drawing red lines on the sides of the streets in vital locations, in addition to enhancing traffic signs, as part of its efforts to organize traffic movement and control parking violations.
The campaign focuses on enhancing traffic safety by identifying areas where stopping and parking next to the painted curbs in white and red is prohibited, especially near hospitals, schools, and public facilities, contributing to improving traffic flow and reducing traffic congestion.
The municipality confirmed that stopping or parking in these areas is considered a traffic violation, and that violations will be electronically monitored through surveillance cameras spread across various locations.
The Greater Amman Municipality and the Traffic Department urged all drivers to adhere to the parking and stopping instructions and to pay attention to the updated traffic signs, to avoid violations and fines.
