Khaberni - The Jordanian International Search and Rescue team belonging to the Public Security Directorate/Civil Defense succeeded in maintaining its "heavy" international classification among global search and rescue teams, after successfully passing the reevaluation process conducted by the United Nations International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG).

This achievement embodies the professionalism and high efficiency possessed by the Jordanian team, and confirms the esteemed position of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan regionally and internationally in the fields of disaster response and humanitarian crisis management. This comes following the directives of the Hashemite leadership in supporting humanitarian work and relieving those affected around the world.

The UN evaluation included intensive field tests during which the team conducted exercises simulating the reality of natural and humanitarian disasters. These exercises covered search and rescue operations, medical aid, and integrated field management. Meanwhile, the medical, logistical, and technical units underwent precise evaluation by UN experts, showing advanced readiness and high capacity for rapid deployment and immediate response in various conditions.

The Jordanian Search and Rescue team was the first Arab team to achieve the "heavy" classification since 2013 and has continued to maintain it thanks to ongoing professionalism in training, development of human and technical capacities, and adherence to international standards for emergency and rescue teams.

This classification reflects the team's possession of comprehensive capabilities, including specialized units equipped with the latest equipment and modern technology, trained search dogs, and an advanced field medical unit, enabling it to provide support and relief both within and outside the kingdom efficiently and effectively.

This achievement enhances the international community’s confidence in Jordan's capabilities and cements its position as a leading regional hub in the fields of rescue and humanitarian aid, further confirming that Jordan has become a model to be emulated in crisis management and rapid emergency response.
