Khaberni - The National Union Party announced the appointment of party member the Honorable MP Maisoon Qawabah to the position of Assistant Speaker of the House of Representatives in the second ordinary session, as part of the parliamentary consensus that occurred between the blocs: the Charter, Initiative, Union of Centrist Parties, and the National Islamic Bloc and Azm, during the coordination meeting held in the presence of the secretaries-general of the parties.
The party confirmed in a press statement that this choice reflects the trust and competence that MP Qawabah possesses, her effective role in enhancing party presence within the House of Representatives, and in establishing the principles of institutional parliamentary work based on consultation and coordination among the blocs.
The party's Secretary General, Mr. Mohammad Fawaz Al-Khasawneh, noted that this parliamentary consensus embodies the highest forms of democracy and reflects an advanced national consciousness in managing the parliamentary scene, which serves the public interest and enhances the political reform process under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, may God protect him.
The party concluded its statement by affirming its full support for MP Qawabah in her new tasks, wishing her success in performing her role in a way that contributes to activating the supervisory and legislative role and enhancing the status of Jordanian women in political and party life.
