Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, begins implementing a comprehensive field campaign aimed at painting the curbs in white and red, and drawing red lines on the sides of the streets in vital locations, along with enhancing traffic signs to prevent parking and stopping at these locations, as part of its efforts to organize traffic flow, improve its fluidity and control parking and stopping violations.
The campaign focuses on enhancing road safety by marking the areas where parking and stopping next to the curbs painted in white and red are prohibited, especially near hospitals, schools, and public facilities, contributing to the improvement in traffic flow and reducing traffic congestion.
The Municipality confirmed in a statement that stopping or parking next to the curbs painted in white and red, or along the red lines on the streets, is considered a traffic violation and that these violations will be electronically monitored through surveillance cameras spread across various locations.
The Greater Amman Municipality and the Traffic Department call on all drivers to adhere to the parking and stopping instructions and pay attention to the updated traffic signs, to avoid violations and fines.
