Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, has started implementing a comprehensive field campaign aimed at painting the curbs in white and red, and drawing red lines on the sides of the streets in vital locations, in addition to enhancing traffic signs to prevent stopping and parking at those sites, as part of its efforts to organize the flow of traffic and control parking violations.
The campaign focuses on enhancing road safety by identifying areas where stopping and parking next to curbs painted in white and red is prohibited, especially near hospitals, schools, and public facilities, which contributes to improving the flow of traffic and reducing traffic congestion.
Violation .. and we will monitor it with cameras
The municipality confirmed that stopping or parking next to curbs painted in white and red, or along the red lines in the streets, is considered a traffic violation and that these violations will be monitored electronically through surveillance cameras spread across various locations.
The Greater Amman Municipality and the Traffic Department urge all drivers to adhere to the parking and stopping regulations, and to pay attention to the updated traffic signs, to avoid violations and fines.
