Diddy Survives Assassination Attempt in Prison

Khaberni - American media reports that rapper and music producer Sean "Diddy" Combs survived an assassination attempt inside his cell at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, after waking up to find a knife pointed at his neck.

According to Charluche Finny, a friend of Combs for more than thirty years, the details of the incident are still unclear, adding through the "Daily Mail," "I don’t know whether Diddy defended himself or if the guards intervened, but it definitely happened."

Finny indicated that the attack was more of a threat than an actual murder attempt, explaining, "If the attacker really wanted to harm him, he would have done so, as it only takes a second."

He added that the incident was possibly a warning message meaning "next time you won’t be so lucky."

Finny described his 55-year-old friend as "a person who does not break," confident that he will overcome this phase, saying: "Sean will remain the same when he is released, because he is strong, loving, and a loyal father and friend."
This incident comes at a time when Diddy is serving a sentence of four years and two months after being convicted last July of charges relating to sexual violence, interstate transportation of people for prostitution, human trafficking, and running a criminal network.

The court also imposed a fine of 500,000 dollars on him and mandated his participation in psychological treatment programs and drug rehabilitation.

His defense team had previously requested his early release, arguing that he had spent more than a year in one of the harshest prisons in the country, and that he had been under "constant suicide watch" in the prison, after he had previously been threatened by a fellow inmate with a primitively made knife.
In October last, Diddy sent a message to the court confirming that he had become "clean and balanced" and "no longer running from his mistakes," while 75 of his friends and family members submitted letters supporting his character.

On the other hand, his former girlfriend Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura requested a stricter penalty for him, noting in her message that she "lived a full decade of violence, abuse, and humiliation" during their relationship, and that she still fears his revenge after his release from prison.
