Khaberni - Arne Slot, Liverpool's coach, placed Egyptian star Mohamed Salah on the bench in the team's encounter against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, within the UEFA Champions League.
This is the first time that the Egyptian top scorer does not start in two consecutive UEFA Champions League matches – according to the British "Mirror", after he was also benched in Liverpool’s match against Galatasaray.
Slot made five changes to his starting lineup, as he started with Hugo Ekitike, Jeremy Frimpong, Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones, and Florian Wirtz following the recent defeat to Manchester United.
The decision of coach Slot comes after a series of criticisms that Salah has faced from critics and English football legends due to the recent dip in his performance.
