Khaberni - The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed al-Hunaity, inspected the Royal Border Guard Battalion/2, one of the units of the Southern Military Region, on Wednesday, and he was received by the commander of the area.
Major General al-Hunaity, in the presence of several senior officers of the armed forces, listened to a briefing on the operational tasks and training programs implemented by the unit, in addition to the mechanism for carrying out the border security duties within its area of responsibility.
Major General al-Hunaity emphasized the continued commitment of the General Command of the Armed Forces to implementing its plans aimed at supporting and backing the border guard units with modern devices and equipment that enable them to perform their duties and ensure the accomplishment of their tasks on various border fronts and preventing any attempts of infiltration and smuggling.
At the end of the visit, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff conveyed the confidence and pride of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in the ranks of the Southern Military Region, praising the high level of professionalism and high morality distinguished by their performance of duties.
