Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters today, Monday, that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is far from the risk of collapse.
Trump added that "rogue elements, not Hamas leadership", are responsible for the recent attack on Israel, according to the "Jerusalem Post". He added: "We will deal with it firmly but fairly. The ceasefire will hold."
For his part, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, in response to a question from reporters about his upcoming visit to Israel, said: "Maybe. We're trying to figure that out. Of course, we want to go and see how things are progressing."
He added, "I think someone from the administration will definitely attend in the coming days. It might be me, but we are still working on the logistics."
When asked about his confidence in the ceasefire holding, Vance said: "Look, it's going to be complicated. Even in the best scenarios, if this process leads to sustainable and long-term peace as the President and I hope, there will still be obstacles along the way." He added, "There will be instances where Hamas fires on Israel, and of course, Israel will have to respond. There will be moments when it's not clear who exactly is acting within Gaza. But we believe this is the best opportunity for stable peace, and even if it succeeds, there will be fluctuations, and we will need to monitor them closely."
