Khaberni - The Health Directorate of the Petra Region, in collaboration with the Commissioners' Council of the Petra Region Development and Tourism Authority, lit the famous Treasury facade in the ancient Petra site in pink, in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month which occurs in October.
This initiative aimed to enhance community awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer, and to encourage prevention and early treatment, within the national efforts advocating for the protection of Jordanian women's health and the promotion of health awareness culture.
The organizers of the initiative emphasized that the lighting of the Treasury in pink embodies Petra's humanitarian and civilizational message, and reflects Jordan's ongoing commitment to health and humanitarian issues that affect human life and health.
They pointed out that this event highlights the importance of cooperation between the health, tourism, and community sectors in fostering a culture of awareness and safety, and reaffirms Jordan's leading role in supporting global efforts aimed at enhancing patient safety and preserving the health and safety of women through awareness and early disease detection.
