Khaberni - It appears that the problem, which began Monday morning, is associated with an issue in "Amazon Web Services".
More than 2000 reports of an "Amazon Web Services" outage have been received in the United States alone, according to "Downdetector", a site that monitors issues and outages in real time.
Amazon Web Services has announced that they have fixed the core issue, but added that there is a backlog in the services that the system will need to process.
What has been affected?
Many websites were affected by the outage and reported having technical problems.
Reports indicate that many banks, UK government gateway services including services like the HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Universal Credit, pensions, mobile networks, and the video chat platform Zoom have been affected.
A spokesperson for the UK government said: "We are aware of an incident affecting Amazon Web services, and many online services that rely on its infrastructure."
He continued: "Through our approved incident response arrangements, we are in contact with the company, which is working to restore services as quickly as possible."
Also, a spokesperson for Lloyds Bank apologized for the issues affecting customers, adding: "We are seeing services return online, and continue to work to ensure this happens as quickly as possible."
All "Amazon" products - including "Prime Video", "Alexa", and "Amazon Music", as well as the main "Amazon" website have been affected.
