Khaberni - OnePlus finally launched the OnePlus 15T, following the release of the previous generation OnePlus 13T last year.
As with last year’s model, the OnePlus 15T features a compact size that makes it pocket-friendly, measuring 150.5 mm in length.
For comparison, Galaxy S26 measures about 149.6 mm in height, while Pixel 10 phone measures about 152.8 mm, according to a report by “Android Authority”, a technology news website, reviewed by “Al Arabiya Business”.
The compact size is due to its 6.32-inch OLED display with a 165 Hz frequency (with a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels, crystal shield glass), which also provides a brightness of up to 1,800 nits.
Phone Specifications
It used to be that a smaller phone meant a smaller battery, but the OnePlus 15T comes equipped with a massive 7,500 milliamp-hour silicon-carbon battery, which makes most other smartphones look small in comparison. In fact, this battery is slightly larger than the battery of OnePlus 15.
The phone supports 100-watt “SuperVOOC” wired charging, or 55-watt “PPS” fast charging, which is slightly slower but still fast. The phone also supports wireless charging (50 watts), a feature not available in last year’s model.
The OnePlus 15T delivers powerful performance thanks to the fifth generation “Snapdragon 8 Elite” processor, a 5,150 mm² vapor chamber cooling system, and a 12 or 16 GB RAM.
OnePlus states that the phone is capable of smoothly running games at either 165 or 144 frames per second in some games for several hours.
The phone comes with a main camera of 50 megapixels, and a telephoto camera of 50 megapixels with 3.5x optical zoom. The latter is a significant upgrade in zoom compared to the OnePlus 13T’s 50-megapixel camera with 2x optical zoom.
OnePlus has equipped the phone with a 16-megapixel front camera. In terms of photography features, options like 8K video shooting at 30 frames per second, 4K slow-motion at 120 frames per second, underwater photography, and reflection removal are expected.
The phone also comes with an IP69K rating, meaning it is completely dust-tight and able to withstand water even under high pressure and high temperatures.
Price and Availability
OnePlus launched the OnePlus 15T in China at a price of 4299 yuan (about $624) for the base version with 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of storage.
In contrast, the price of last year's OnePlus 13T started from 3399 yuan (about $467 at the time). Clearly, this is a significant price increase, and it does not bode well for other phone releases later this year.
This reflects the effect of the global shortage of random access memory, which has led to significant increases in the prices of memory and other components in recent months, significantly impacting the prices of consumable tech goods.
No official statement has been issued regarding the availability of the OnePlus 15T outside China. Previous leaks indicate that there is a "90% chance" that the OnePlus 15s will be canceled.
OnePlus had launched the OnePlus 13T later in India last year under the name OnePlus 13s.
