Khaberni - The number of ownership transactions for non-Jordanian investors during the first nine months of this year reached 1,749 properties, a 13% decrease compared to the same period last year, which recorded 2,011 properties sold.
According to the Land and Survey Department's report, these sales included 1,035 apartments worth 53 million dinars, with an 11% decrease compared to the same period last year, which registered 1,157 apartments, and 714 land plots worth 90 million dinars, a 16% decrease compared to the same period last year, which registered 854 land plots.
The estimated value of property sales to non-Jordanian investors during the first nine months of this year amounted to 143.8 million dinars, an 8% decrease compared to the same period last year, which recorded 157 million dinars.
The nationalities with the highest property ownership
The Iraqi nationality ranked first in property ownership transactions by non-Jordanians during the first nine months with a total of 387 properties, followed by the Saudi nationality in second place with 286 properties, and the Syrian nationality in third place with 169 properties, with the American nationality in fourth place with 127 properties, and the Palestinian nationality in fifth place with 113 properties.
Nationality ranking by estimated value
In terms of value, the Iraqi nationality also ranked first with an estimated value of 54.5 million dinars, accounting for 38% of the estimated value of property ownership transactions by non-Jordanians. The American nationality ranked second with a value of 14.8 million dinars, accounting for 10%, the Syrian nationality in third place with a value of 10 million dinars, accounting for 7%, the Palestinian nationality in fourth place with a value of 7.7 million dinars, accounting for 5.4%, while the Saudi nationality ranked fifth with a value of 7 million dinars, accounting for 4.9%.
