Jordan Industry and Trade 1100 Violations and 399 Complaints in the First Quarter

Khaberni - The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply issued 1101 violations against establishments for not complying with the provisions of the Industry and Trade Law and related legislations during the first quarter of the current year.
The ministry stated in an announcement today, Saturday, that the Market Control Directorate dealt with various complaints received from citizens, totaling 399 complaints, through market inspectors spread across all regions of the kingdom, and took the necessary measures to address them, which reflects the speed of response and the effectiveness of monitoring.
Furthermore, the inspection teams conducted 1353 inspection tours covering 21891 visits to commercial establishments in various provinces of the kingdom, aimed at ensuring their compliance with the current instructions and regulations.
It was mentioned that the Market Control Directorate continues to implement the provisions of the Industry and Trade Law No. 18 of 1998, which includes monitoring the availability of basic food commodities, verifying and enforcing price declarations, monitoring wholesalers' inventory, in addition to controlling any practices related to hiding goods or refraining from selling them, and monitoring discounts, liquidations, and promotional offers.
