Khaberni - Enzo Maresca, Chelsea's coach, said "Midfielder Cole Palmer will be absent from the pitch for six weeks due to a thigh injury, just before his team visits Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League on Saturday."
Palmer suffered the injury in August, but he returned to play for the team and scored two goals in consecutive matches against Brentford and Bayern Munich.
However, the injury of the 23-year-old English international worsened during Chelsea's 1-2 loss to Manchester United on September 20.
Maresca told reporters on Friday, "I was wrong (about Palmer). Unfortunately, he will need to be out for another six weeks.
"We try to protect Cole as much as possible. The most important thing is his full physical recovery."
He added, "The medical staff are not magicians. We hope that six weeks will be enough. We need to follow his progress step by step. Certainly, he will be fine.
"He seems comfortable. He has made a great effort to recover and continues to undergo the necessary treatment."
