Amman Hotel Towel Incident AlSaadi Denies the Incident and Her Tribe Organizes a Protest

Khaberni - Iraqi diplomat Zainab Al-Saadi denied an official letter sent by the Baghdad ambassador to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry regarding the incident of stealing towels from a famous hotel in Amman.
Al-Saadi, in press statements, called on her ministry and the Iraqi Prime Minister to intervene immediately.
On this matter, Al-Saadi said: "After being accused of stealing bath towels while I was at a hotel in the Jordanian capital, Amman, I provided a statement to the Foreign Ministry as an advisor in the ministry to open an investigation into the case."
Al-Saadi, who participated in a tribal gathering from the Al-Sawa'ed tribe to support her, explained that the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs formed a committee to investigate the case," and she demanded that the committee formed by the ministry "visit Amman to investigate in detail."
She asserted that "publishing such an accusation at this time is an attempt to discredit the Iraqi Foreign Ministry after the successes achieved by Iraqi diplomacy under the leadership of Minister Fuad Hussein, and the minister’s role in conducting several negotiations and meetings that stabilized the situation in the regional and Middle Eastern areas."
In turn, Mohammed Blasim, one of the sheikhs of the Al-Sawa'ed tribe in Iraq, announced: "Unfortunately, in Iraq, from time to time, some people are subjected to a media attack from foreign countries and entities," explaining that "Advisor Zainab Al-Saadi does not represent the Al-Sawa'ed tribe but represents a country like Iraq with a history and civilization."
Blasim added, "The Al-Sawa'ed tribe organized a protest today against the attempt to target and discredit their consultant daughter, demanding Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani to intervene and investigate urgently after the false accusations targeted at their daughter Zainab."
He clarified, "Today, we had a protest in the presence of tribal sheikhs, which is a clear message to the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to respond to the demands of Advisor Zainab Al-Saadi, to investigate the case and the false accusations directed at her."
Blasim pointed out that "if the government does not respond to us and listen to Advisor Zainab, and investigate the case urgently and transparently, then as a tribe, we will have a position and demonstrations in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."
