Khaberni - White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett predicted on Friday that there would be intensive measures by President Donald Trump if the federal government shutdown continues past Sunday.
Hassett did not mention the measures that the Republican President might take if lawmakers fail to reach an agreement.
The White House said last week that it had begun laying off U.S. government employees, as Trump carried out his threat to reduce the federal workforce during the government shutdown now in its seventeenth day.
