Khaberni - The US Department of War (Pentagon) said that a plane carrying Minister Pete Higseth made an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a crack in its front glass, adding that the minister is fine.
On the X platform, spokesman Sean Parnell wrote, "The plane landed according to standard procedures and everyone on board, including Minister Higseth, is fine."
Higseth was on his way back from a brief trip to Brussels where he participated in a meeting of NATO defense ministers.
This is not the first time that a US military aircraft carrying senior officials has experienced a malfunction.
Earlier this year, a military plane carrying Secretary of State Mark Rubio had to return to Washington after experiencing a mechanical failure on its way to Munich.
