Apple unveils M5 generation of its professional devices

Khaberni - In a move that strengthens its leading position in the technology world, Apple has unveiled a new generation of its devices equipped with the advanced M5 chip, offering professionals exceptional performance and a more efficient artificial intelligence experience.

Apple, today Wednesday, announced a range of updates for its products, including an updated version of the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro, alongside the second generation of the Vision Pro virtual reality glasses, as part of the company's strategy to enhance its devices with the new M5 chip specifically designed for professionals in creative fields.

According to "Reuters", Apple aims to counter the improvements offered by competing companies, such as Qualcomm and Intel, in the field of chips designed for artificial intelligence applications. This step reflects the company's continued approach to launching its most powerful chips first in the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro devices.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro, equipped with the M5 chip, is a significant advancement compared to last year's M4 series, as the new chip features higher speed and greater efficiency in running advanced artificial intelligence applications.

Despite significant technical improvements, Apple has maintained the same prices, with the starting price of the MacBook Pro at $1599 for the 14-inch version, while the starting price of the iPad Pro is $999, and the price of the Vision Pro glasses (second generation) is $3499.

The M5 chip is manufactured using advanced three-nanometer technology, which provides devices with faster performance and more efficient energy consumption.

Apple first launched the Vision Pro glasses in 2023, and they received widespread acclaim for their high display quality, despite their limited spread as they are a premium product aimed at a specific user segment.

Sales of the iPad are expected to increase by about 6% in the fiscal year ending September 2025, after three years of decline, thanks to a smaller, less expensive version of the device and a recovery in global demand for electronics.

Mac sales are also expected to grow this year, supported by the launch of the new, smaller, and less expensive Mac mini, equipped with the M4 chip, making it an attractive option for consumers with limited budgets.
