Khaberni - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Kharabsheh, confirmed on Wednesday that Jordan is ready to supply Lebanon with part of its electrical energy needs as soon as the readiness of the other relevant parties is complete.
Kharabsheh, during his meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Al-Sadi, mentioned that the connection lines on the Jordanian side are fully ready.
He pointed out the royal directives to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of electrical connection and natural gas delivery.
Kharabsheh and Al-Sadi discussed the possibility of delivering natural gas through the Arab Gas Pipeline to Lebanon, as part of enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries.
He affirmed the depth of the historical relations between Jordan and Lebanon.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry, Amani Al-Azzam, and the General Manager of the National Electric Power Company, Sofyan Bataineh.
