Dr. Ahmed Amoudi, General Manager of Crif Jordan, said that the company has solidified its position since its inception as a main player in promoting the national credit sector, providing precise credit inquiry services and data, which today form the backbone of financing and lending decisions in Jordan.

100% dependency on Crif Jordan for loans

Amoudi confirmed that reliance on the company’s reports has become absolute in the banking and financial market, as no loan or finance can be granted by banks or financial institutions without a credit inquiry from Crif Jordan, making the dependency rate on these reports in granting loans reach100% fully.

Issued 10.5 million reports resulting in 3.6 million loans for the banking sector only

Amoudi detailed with numbers that the total number of credit reports issued by the company for individuals and companies from its establishment until September 30, 2025, reached about 10.5 million reports, reflecting the growing demand for the company's services and its importance in the financial and banking sector.

He added that the number of loans granted based on the company’s reports by banks reached 3.6 million loans.

He pointed out that the number of loans contained in the company's database until the end of September 2025 exceeds 12 million loans, while the number of individual clients and companies registered in the system is approximately three million customers.

Amoudi pointed out that these large numbers reflect not only the size of credit activity in the Jordanian market, but also the increasing trust that the company enjoys among banks and credit providers, where Crif Jordan has become the basic reference in checking creditworthiness and ensuring the quality of financing decisions.

Objecting to any incorrect data

Regarding the data amendment mechanism, Amoudi explained that the company operates within a clear and stringent legal framework. Customers can object to any incorrect data either directly with the data provider or through Crif Jordan, and no data is amended without a formal request from the data provider and the review of the data amendment committee within the company.

Regarding the establishment of Crif Jordan and its role in the market, Amoudi mentioned that Crif Jordan was established as a private joint-stock company in 2015 and obtained a business license from the Central Bank of Jordan to officially start its activity in 2016, through an advanced electronic platform built in cooperation with the strategic partner "Crif S.p.A" from Italy, a global leader in the field of credit information and financial technologies, where the activity of Crif Jordan is subject to the Credit Information Law No. (15) of 2010, and to the Credit Information Companies System No. (36) of 2011, in addition to direct oversight by the Central Bank of Jordan.

Amoudi confirmed that the company was able to become the primary reference for the banking and credit sector in less than ten years, through providing credit inquiry services, scoring evaluation, analytical and alert reports, which contributed to reducing credit risks and enhancing access to financing.

Regarding the services provided by the company, Amoudi reviewed the main services offered by the company, explaining that the credit report service is the fundamental pillar, as it provides banks and companies participating in the credit inquiry service with reports that include the complete credit history of clients, whether positive or negative data.

Scoring service is an advanced tool for classifying clients

He added that the scoring service is an advanced tool for classifying clients based on the probability of default in meeting their obligations within the coming year, using precise statistical methodologies that rely on a large set of variables.

He also referred to the "Portfolio Alerts Index Report" service, which enables institutions to monitor any significant changes in their clients' data with other credit providers, enhancing banks' ability to manage risks in their credit portfolios.

Inquiring about groups of clients at once

Among other services, the "Group Inquiry" service allows institutions subscribed to the service to inquire about groups of clients at once, which is useful in monitoring credit performance, collection, and marketing analysis of the credit portfolio. The company also provides data on returned checks within the credit report in a historical format, without listing them as a blacklist, allowing monitoring of customer financial behavior over the medium and long term.

Regarding data sources and information, Amoudi explained that the data the company relies on comes from official data providers subscribed to the credit inquiry service, including banks, financial leasing companies, non-bank financing companies, installment sales companies, in addition to telecommunications companies for postpaid bills, with data including customer identities, their credit contracts, credit behavior, available ceilings, and a record of negative events such as debt execution and financial cases.

Utmost importance to information security

Regarding data protection and customer privacy, Amoudi emphasized that Crif Jordan gives utmost importance to information security. The company applies stringent policies when handling personal data and uses advanced encryption technologies during their transfer and storage, and conducts periodic penetration tests of systems and networks to ensure the strength of the security architecture.

No security incidents and strict security effectiveness

He added that the company did not record any security incidents during the year, reflecting the effectiveness and strictness of the security system. Crif Jordan adheres to international standards such as ISO 27001 andNIST, and applies all the requirements of the Central Bank of Jordan in this field.

He also highlighted that the company regularly trains its employees on the best data protection practices, in addition to awareness campaigns for institutions subscribed to the service, ensuring the establishment of a comprehensive cybersecurity culture inside and outside the company.
